Pierre Pienaar was previously stationed at the River Club in Cape Town, South Africa as Head Pro of the Logical Golf Academy. Since deciding to realize his lifelong passion for teaching golf in 2001, he received intense training from Grant Hepburn and gained valuable experience assisting Grant and Robert Baker at events such as the Dimension Data Pro-am.

Pierre hails from a family of teachers, trainers and lecturers and the love of teaching always overshadowed his yearning to play professionally. Combining his communication skills with the simple effective teaching methods of Logical Golf has gained him a loyal following wherever he teaches.

Some clients who have benefited from his enthusiastic approach are Michelle MacLean (Miss Universe 1992), Annette Cowley (Former Springbok swimmer and world and US record holder) and Deputy Justice Minister Johnny de Lange. In February 2005 Pierre was the driving force behind the 180 Degrees/Logical Golf Charity Cup (as featured on Top Billing), where he collaborated with tennis greats like Henri Leconte, Pat Cash and Goran Ivanisevic to raise money for the South African Golf Development Board (SAGDB). The SAGDB is very close to his heart and he is one of the trainers of the teachers of this program. To date he has shared the Logical Golf methodology with over 70 golf teachers.

The highlights of his teaching career has been working with Robert and Grant at the Nelson Mandela Invitational and the BMW International in Munich. At these events he worked with the likes of Ines Sastre, Jodie Kidd, Andrew McClardy, Jan Joseph Liefers, Bennie Lauth and Jarmo Sandelin. He has done numerous corporate outings in Europe and South Africa for companies such as British American Tobacco, Vodacom, HCI (Hamburg) and Old Mutual. He has also been featured on German Golf TV shows on RTL channel N-TV.
